It was with full relief that I saw this on my walk this morning.

It reassured me that I was somewhere in the Southwest. Not that the presence of way too much sun, dried out dirt and cactus shouldn’t have done it but really, I could have been in a desert anywhere in the world.
The sun is is so blinding bright that your eyes water even behind protective lenses. If you wanted to be stupid, I am sure that you could managed to get a sunburn before noon.

The world can be quiet lovely before 0800 in the morning, but I don’t think most people here have much of a choice about when they are out and about. Tan and brown are not my colors but then neither is green.
Still looking for that perfect spot, and it probably won’t come with turquoise and big silver belt buckles.
Actually, I like the turquoise part.
