I will admit, there are a lot of things to see and do in the Bay Area.
One can find wonderful yarn shops (Article Prat in Oakland) and even better fabric stores (Stone Mountain in Berkeley).
You can have the interesting experience of riding BART to a Peruvian Festival in the City (which turned out to be mostly stands with stuff to eat and two competing stages with music. I was unaware that rapping in Spanish was traditional Peruvian music. The one stand that had lovely alpaca garments unfortunately didn’t have anything that called my name).
You can then go across the street to the Asian Art Museum and wander the special exhibit on Bali before heading upstairs to discover textiles in some of the other galleries.
You can also be so tired by 2000 that you fall on your nose without processing the photos taken that day…..

I recall seeing a yarn shop on the second floor of a building near Union Square. Since I don’t use yarn, I didn’t go in. This was about 6 years ago –
There was a museum in the Bay area (not SF) that had a quilt exhibit? maybe?
ask.
SF Museum of Modern Art is cool.
As my wife is so fond of saying at times like that: “So many choices; so little time!” The important thing is to have fun.
