Tide Pools

I had planned on telling you that at Cozumel, Mexico we docked so that there wasn’t about an hour lost each was waiting for tenders, riding on tenders and waiting to get off tenders. I am easily bored and watching people stumble their way on and off a transport vessel loaded down with beach gear, strollers and coolers is not exactly my idea of a good time. Riding back with a bunch of the crew was a lot more fun.

And yes, there were passengers who managed to lose their ships card between boarding the tender and getting to security on the ship. Ranks right up their with emptying out pockets on three tries after having set off the metal detector.

Both last night and this morning there were too many clouds to make the sunset/rise all that spectacular but still …..

What turned out to be the most interesting today was simply the shore line. Once I wended my way past the dozens upon dozens of vendors, tour operators, merchants and hawkers I headed left (which would be north) along the road facing the harbor.

Besides the Liberty – RCI’s Mariner was in port along with Carnival Glory & Carnival Legend. Both of those ships have water slides. Give me a water slide anyway over a wave rider. Color me simple but sliding is not just for kids.

Anyway – back to the shore. There is an amazing variety of life forms found in the small tidal pools along the shore.
