Having been here before (Costa Rica) I was looking forward to a relaxed wander through town. And then we turned out to be ship #3 in port. There are two berths in town. The commercial port is not either next door or walkable. In fact the only thing you can do after you shuttle from the ship to the port entrance is get on another bus ($15/return) if you want to go to town or go back to the ship.
Not hard to figure out which I chose.
We stop here again on the return journey and I will plan on getting to town regardless. Meanwhile, there is a hot tub in my future after I finish a bit more of the cross-stitch.
I am jealous! There are numerous abandoned Railway cars and engines over by the highway at the commercial port and they are narrow gauge.
