Sheep for Cheese

Now Cory may be interesting but Marcia is the star. Coming from a Basque family with cheese making traditions she was looking for something different after they moved to Marin County over a decade ago.

And now she has East Friesian Sheep. Her Barinaga Ranch Cheese are made according to strict traditions and procedures. They have been featured in high end restaurants and in multi-thousand dolaar a plate fund-raisers. The lambs may become restaurant fare or breeding stock or join the milk herd. The wool goes to a mill where it becomes heavy duty natural colored blankets. The cheese is fabulous, trust me as I tasted at bit for lunch.

The Great Pyrenees dogs are amazing. They live with the sheep are extremely protective and not pets.
