So anyway, I wound up with a whole day free and a courtesy shuttle to Union square. It seemed the thing todo – walk over to the Embarcadero, hike up to Pier 39 and just enjoy the weather. Since I brought only a small camera instead of the heavy ones, I wasn’t even on a photo hunt.
There were crowds, street musicians and beggars. The Farmer’s Market was in full swing along with dozens of artisans under tents with bright coloured wares just inviting a look. Restraining myself, I window shopped only the earrings. Prints and pottery are just too hard to haul home especially with having to plan for shipping household good in the next couple of months.
It was late afternoon when I caught the bus back, electing not to wait for what was going to be the extremely overcrowded last shuttle.
I started another version on the December Scarf and finished listening to Charming by Elliot James. It is a lovely quirky urban fantasy that doesn’t have sparkly vampires.
