as it turns out is about my favorite area to work.
Especially this year, we have the new registrations set up on one counter and the badge pickup on another. Those that paid ahead of time just don’t have to wait forever; and not feeling like dealing with the computers – for yesterday and today I have been happily handing out badges.
By tomorrow afternoon that is going to be just too boring and I will flip over to the new registrations.
Meanwhile – we have consolidated 10 boxes of badges down to 3 which are not completely full. Equivalent to handing out about 3500 worth of badges actually prior to the official Con opening at 500 yesterday.
It was dark when I hiked home last night after dealing with the usual crew who shows up after we are shut down (hello, 2000 is really pretty generous) and will be heading back early in the morning.
Made more progress on the shawl – now just have to get an @Con knitting group meet up set.
