Ok, so I don’t leave till Tues. So what? I decided that one burden off my to do list would be good. That and I had to replace my beloved Rimowa suitcase that the airlines finally managed to break. I would have just gone and bought the replacement in a heart beat but….wait for it…. they don’t make that model anymore. In stead, since it was a decent suitcase and not terribly heavy, I bought a black with bright lime green accents when at the Mountainhardware/Columbia store the other day.
New suitcase. New method of packing. This one has one large compartment with a cover that zips back. The old one was a clamshell that opened in half. Breaking five years of frequent packing habits turned out to not be as easy as I had planned. The clothing part isn’t that hard, it is adjusting the rest of it and brining along enough cross-stitch and knitting supplies. After all, can’t run out of things to do for 23 days…
Back home for the day, I attempted to clean up my sewing room a bit, make a couple more scarves. Knock out some more PJ bottoms (I really need to pick up large safety pins, it makes threading elastic through waistbands so much easier.)
Sleeping (attempting) once more with the cats before College Guy takes over on Sunday eve for a couple of nights.
Oh, and finished my audio book and off to find another.
So glad you are packed, hate that job! How are you feeling? I have to say reading about what you accomplish on a daily basis – I am in awe! I get exhausted just reading what all you get done in a day!!
Glad to learn that she is going to Thompson. Hopefully they take good care of her. Did my first TA on her in 2016 it was my second cruise ever. Then sailed on her again in November 2016 Quebec city to Florida via Bermuda. Looking forward to sailing on her sisters Rhapsody in April and Vision in August.
Have a chocolate coated strawberry and a tea biscuit on her for Me.

My mistake would you believe 2015
I would bring them back for you, but thinking they might get a bit stale by the time they made it to Ottowa (and yes, thought it was 2105). Those of us who come late to cruising really go after it with a bang…
Bonus Voyage!
Say farewell to Legend for us. Aussies (well those living in Brisbane) had hoped to keep her as she was based there this year.
I recall you saying that Legend was the ship which sailed the world ‘testing’ itineraries, so to speak.
Do they have another ship doing that? I did wonder if Vision was as from the deployment thread, she seems to have some unpredictability.
Enjoy the trip. We loved our Rhapsody repo from Singapore.
Have a wonderful trip!
Have a great time.
There speaks the voice of experience. For me, because I travel so seldom, each trip is like that.
It is great that you are being so productive, not to mention packed. I hope the replacement suitcase will be as good as the Rimowa and last as long. That one has been pretty much Everywhere.
