NCL Encore – Another Sea Day

I won’t bother to get in a long discussion about all the time zone changes. (Started on UK, changed to Spain, changed to Portugal,, changed to the Azores tonight).

I am still waking up incredibly early which means I can find a comfortable location in the Observation Lounge, have coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and listen to an audiobook whilc stitching. There aren’t all that many people out and about early.

I managed a fair amount on the Secret Garden SAL today. From what I can tell, I might have to turn off the hotspot, airdrop pictures, then turn the hotspot back on to upload the pics. Go figure.

There are a moderate number of knitters here and there… I haven’t seen anyother stitchers but Miriam says they are around.

For those of you who purchased NCL or RCCL stock back a decade or so ago, both lines still providee OBC on proof of ownership. Unfortunately, I have forgotten about the benefit off and on. Even so, over the last 10+ years, I have received more OBC than I spent on the stock in the first place. Royal lets you use it for anything. NCL restricts the usuage, so you can’t used it for daily service charges.

The reason I am mentioning this? I just checked my account and it isn’t there. Nada. Went to the front deck. I don’t imagine there is going to be any action before Monday – Miami time…

and the Secret Garden SAL? I think part 1 is just about done

About Holly

fiber person - knitter, spinner, weaver who spent 33 years being a military officer to fund the above. And home. And family. Sewing and quilting projects are also in the stash. After living again in Heidelberg after retiring (finally) from the U.S. Army May 2011, we moved to the US ~ Dec 2015. Something about being over 65 and access to health care. It also might have had to do with finding a buyer for our house. Allegedly this will provide me a home base in the same country as our four adult children, all of whom I adore, so that I can drive them totally insane. Considerations of time to knit down the stash…(right, and if you believe that…) and spin and .... There is now actually enough time to do a bit of consulting, editing. Even more amazing - we have only one household again. As long as everyone understands that I still, 40 years into our marriage, don't do kitchens or bathrooms. For that matter, not being a golden retriever, I don't do slippers or newspapers either. I don’t miss either the military or full-time clinical practice. Limiting my public health/travel med/consulting and lecturing to “when I feel like it” has let me happily spend my pension cruising, stash enhancing (oops), arguing with the DH about where we are going to travel next and book buying. Life is good!
