I’m starting to think of him as my personal chef. If he isn’t answering the phone at room service, the minute anyone recognizes that it is me calling they go and get him. He is from Mumbai and tells me that it has been wonderful preparing special dishes from home. In fact, his home city is Mumbai. He was able to leave the ship early today and spent the day home with his family. He was more than cheerful on the phone this evening but disappointed to find that I had hit the Windjammer when it opened. There was goat & asparagus quiche, bok-choy and star fruit. The head chef informed me on the way out that there will be pomegranates tomorrow.
I was up and standing at the rail this morning when we docked. The cruise terminal shares a pier with their Navy. Most of the new city is 8km away. But, as I was told later, there is plenty to see right out the gate.
So instead, my day was spent making progress on files management and my fractal clocks.
until we pulled out of the pier to watch the sunset over the city
and note the harbor activities.
