It feels like the low lying grey clouds have been following me south at least during the day when I contemplate hiking on land. So today is our last port – Stavanger – and the rain had already started to leak from the skies by the time we docked.
The good thing is that I had not gotten motivated enough to put together a climbing group for Pulpit Rock. The downside is that once again I haven’t had the opportunity to risk my neck in pursuit of really cool photos.
Ah well. Instead I walked around with jacket zipped and umbrella in hand feeling not at all fools to be staying dry in the light rain.
I found the Husfliden and a full copy of my missing knitting mag. The price was extremely reasonable especially for Norway. Postcards are sent and the main shopping mall has high speed free wifi so all my apps are now updated. I am pulling Coursera lectures on my iPad while I hunt and peck this note from my phone.
Tomorrow is packing and sleeping. I arrive back I’m Germany on Sunday this time with clear entries stamped from the UK.
Oh – did I mention that there seems to be plenty of rainless light about 2230 streaming in through the balcony?
Gray and overcast is my favorite: the sun isn’t hurtingly bright and the colors are intense.
