Wasn’t it the Mamas and the Papas who sang a song about Monday Mornings?
In any case, it finally sank through my head that it was Monday. Here, the garbage trucks run despite the holidays.
Oh, yes, it is Labor Day. In US terms it is a Federal Holiday, but also in other terms a Bank Holiday. For that matter, local, city, and state governments also recognize it as a holiday leaving jut the retail stores to run – you guessed it – a sale.
I started on cleaning out a closet yesterday and put a bit more time into it this morning – turns out, in this particularly large box, which had been sitting under bags, backpacks and a mat or two – were several envelopes and file folders.
So I now have rediscovered a number of photos from 2011-2016, some family documents, and my diplomas.
Who knew?
