Just a slight itinerary change

It was partly through a gallery tour this morning

on what was supposed to be our second of three sea days on the way to Elephant Island that I decided it just might be worth listening to the occasional announcement. Instead, we are informed (in English, Spanish and German – I am assuming the director of the Chinese Tour group posts the information for his own people since we never hear it) that today is now the second of two sea days with tomorrow in Port Stanley. Seems there is a bit of a storm in Antarctica with some winds that it would be better not to experience.

Specifically our schedule is now as follows:

Wed Feb 19 – Port Stanley, Falkland Islands. Tender port with a long distance

Thurs Feb 20 at Sea

Fri Feb 21 – Scollart Channel, Antarctica (cruising 1400-1600) – Paradise Bay, Antarctica (cruising 1700-1900) Sat Feb 22 – at Sea

Sun Feb 23, Ushuaia, Argentina (Sunday – exactly what is going to be open on Sunday?)

Mon Feb 24 Cape Horn (Cruising (0800-1000)

Tues Feb 25 at sea

Wed Feb 26 Puerto Madryn, Argentina

Thurs Feb 27 at sea

Friday Feb 28 Punta Del Este, Uraguay

Sat, March 1, Montevideo, Uraguay

Sun – March 2 – Back to Buenos Aires. Now the fact that we are not missing any ports, actually picking up one is all to my benefit don’t you think?
