Just in case you were wondering what Chere and I are up to –
|
The good things for me is that I am getting a chance to check out a ship of a different class (bit larger and maybe fancier) and I have the privilege once again of traveling with a friend. Brad and Chere have been friends since the early 90s. We were stationed in Heidelberg together when it was first 130th Station Hospital, transitioned to 95th CSH and finally turned into HMEDDAC by end of 1994. Yes, all those years ago there really was a drawdown of the military in Europe post Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Brad, Chere and their daughters had been in Stuttgart and were transferred up when the hospital closed.
Our careers have taken us in different directions but we have managed to stay in touch over the years.
So now it is “Ladies sai out” on Royal Caribbean International Jewel of the Seas. She is headed through Dublin home at the end and I am headed to California.
