In spite of the refs

But first, I forgot to mention yesterday that Red Panda by Lindy Stitches is now finished. That makes the six & last of the Endangered Species complete. This morning I finished Monochrome Madness by Northern Expressions. At least I am declaring it finished. I loved the center section, the outer border? Not so much. So I declared it finished.

Now, on to the PITA. This is the third of essentially five games in a row. I haven’t need tracking the refs names/numbers but think it is about time to do so, just because a couple of them are so amazingly bad as to be unbelievable. Refs should not become star struck. The fact that a particular player is famous should not get them special treatment or be always given the benefit of the doubt no matter what they did. Especially when the replay board shows said player dropping a shoulder and bowling down another player who is backing away with both hands up in the air. Stewart may have been the high scorer for the Liberty tonight but six of those points at minimum came from the free throw line after obviously bad ref calls.

Enough said on that. GSV manage to pull out the win anyway. But sometimes, hello, spend too much time passing the ball around and you don’t have enough time left to attempt to shoot baskets.

And it takes a good 90 minutes to get home. Did I mention that I have to hit the road early in the morning to the SFVA? Bleh.

About Holly

fiber person - knitter, spinner, weaver who spent 33 years being a military officer to fund the above. And home. And family. Sewing and quilting projects are also in the stash. After living again in Heidelberg after retiring (finally) from the U.S. Army May 2011, we moved to the US ~ Dec 2015. Something about being over 65 and access to health care. It also might have had to do with finding a buyer for our house. Allegedly this will provide me a home base in the same country as our four adult children, all of whom I adore, so that I can drive them totally insane. Considerations of time to knit down the stash…(right, and if you believe that…) and spin and .... There is now actually enough time to do a bit of consulting, editing. Even more amazing - we have only one household again. As long as everyone understands that I still, 40 years into our marriage, don't do kitchens or bathrooms. For that matter, not being a golden retriever, I don't do slippers or newspapers either. I don’t miss either the military or full-time clinical practice. Limiting my public health/travel med/consulting and lecturing to “when I feel like it” has let me happily spend my pension cruising, stash enhancing (oops), arguing with the DH about where we are going to travel next and book buying. Life is good!
