Einschiffen

Having been in Majorca before, I didn’t worry much yesterday about tourist activities or sightseeing.

It is obvious that cruise ships greatly contribute to the economy – a Carnival ship was in port on its way to its winter home in Texas. There is a group from Germany at my hotel who are also on the same Royal Caribbean ship as I.

But I did get to see the changing of the Guard at the Palau de la Almudaina with their fancy uniforms and amazing head gear.

– and was rewarded with an extra hours worth of sleep.

Deciding that being cheap was stupid, I splurged on a cab to the ship rather than hike 25 minutes with luggage or take the #3 bus for 2E, then hike down a huge hill (with luggage).

Following the usual drill, I was checked in, headed for the food and settled in with knitting.
