Color Affection

Sometimes it is actually fun to “follow the crowd” when the crowd is on Ravelry and actually comes up with something interesting to knit. Certainly was the case with this shawl. Not only was the garter stitch a breeze for travel knitting but it had the great fortune to use up three (3) skeins of sock yarn – all shopped from the stash. The two solids were fine – but the Opal was a particular vile combination I had given up hope of ever using.

Wouldn’t know that from the end product!

So anyway – 1) 368 m Roedel pink sock yarn, 1 Skein (420 meters) of undyed Trekking, & 420 meters of Opal
on 3.5mm needles
According to my caculations – this was actually started in Germany and finished in California. It certainly was mailed home from the post office in Macy’s Basement – downtown San Francisco.

The end result is that I am rather pleased over all. It was well worth buying the pattern (and helping support a starving designer…)

Perfect! Good way to use up stash yarn! I have yarn picked out for one, but am trying to hold off until I finish up something else. We’ll see…
