After months of insanity, my city has finally set up a consistent test sit that operates every day. Regular hours, on a bus route, and actually some available parking. Amazing really that someone with some brains set it up.
The reason that I say “insanity” from before? There was a different location and set of times each day of the week. Kind of like the traditional floating poker or craps game where the purpose was to avoid discovery or capture. Now, if what you are doing is providing a public service, this particular approach is stupid and defeats the purpose.
Of course, you can’t walk up. You have to first register on line. I asked the woman sitting at the registration desk how they handled people who didn’t have a smart phone.
Blank look.
So I have a PCR test incubating.
Otherwise, computer games and stitching may keep me at least moderately sane,
and the marine layer never cleared….
