Gwen has spent the day lying quietly on the dog couch. She has as much pain meds on board as is safe. Covered in blankets, there is a safety fence around her to prevent any enthusiastic younger dog from doing damage. She is eating, drinking, and being carried outside for rest breaks. No signs of infection or drainage, so she has made it safely through the first 24 hours.
It wasn’t a high energy day. After several days of intermittent effort, I have given up on trying to log into DISCOM III (World Science Fiction Convention which is running a hybrid format. I should be able to view the designated sessions, but it just isn’t working consistently. I can find better things to do…)
So I listened to an audiobook (Whispers Underground – 3rd of the Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovich) as I work my way through the series again and stitched on a variety of projects. I think I now have a complete list of everything I need to finish up – at least the Stitch-a-Longs, including the downloads which are either in PatternKeeper or printed. I might actually be able to finish everything up, if I didn’t sleep between now and the first of the year. Since that is so not going to happen, I will just keep plugging away, There are five SALs I would really like to finish this year – I am hoping for 2-3.
Tomorrow is looking like more of the same + Dani’s birthday.
