Santa Cruz, Tenerif on Sunday

We docked early in Santa Cruz. Since it is Sunday (plus some kind of Catholic holiday) virtually nothing interesting was open. Yes, a few souvenir shops mostly loaded with things made in China. The critical store – Desigual – was definitely closed.

As a result, I spent about four hours just walking around and stretching the legs. Not that my legs really needed stretching after five miles on the treadmill this morning but since this was the first landfall after 6 days at sea, I obviously felt obligated to get off the ship.

Since I have shown you doors and windows as well as Laguna (on the other side of the ocean already) the gallery includes a few statues, some really interesting old trees and some truly wonderful tiled advertising spotted on the sides of buildings.
