We aren’t the Russian Explorer who named the bay – just the combined folks from Tours 13A and 13B out for a Wildlife jaunt on the water. I am skipping most of the birds and the jelly fish. While they are fine to see in person (the jellyfish not the birds) they turned out to be extremely difficult to photograph from a moving, rocking boat while heading down or away.
On the other hand – sea lions, bald eagles, humpbacked whales and sea otters were out and about. Not to mention the puffins, a lot smaller a bird than I had imagined.
Glaciers were easily visible in the mountains fronting this fjord section.
