posting early

It is not all that early in the morning -not for someone who got the wakies at 0030 and finally caved at the magic 0200 in the morning. The good and the bad is that there is almost no one on the Internet at that time of the morning. There is decaf and there are some totally insane televisions shows watched by the front desk clerk about contests where individuals and teams humilate themselves and perform various disgusting tasks in order to win money.

I am very grateful that I don’t get US TV, this is pretty pathetic.

any way, just in case I can’t get back on the computer later today (and probably not tomorrow at all – I thought I would provide you with a list of this week’s entertainment.

May 1 New Orleans, LA
Mon May 2 At Sea
Tue May 3 Costa Maya, Mexico
Wed May 4 Roatan, Honduras
Thu May 5 Belize City, Belize

I like Comedy Central Network at that time of day if the are not running infomercials. There is a program called Tosh.O that is pretty funny. The host reviews strange video postings that his staff has found on the internet… It is a window into our culture.

Otherwise I agree, TV in the wee hours if very lame.

Enjoy the cruise. FYI, leave the blue ID card on the ship and only take your passport when you go ashore. Mexico likes to mess with American service members of any flavor. The media keeps a lid on it to keep our relations good.

These postings are WONDERFUL. I am so enjoying them–they are both informative and hilarious. You need to assemble them into a book. You have a real talent for making life come alive through your words. Enjoy your well deserved vacation.

I love this. 🙂 A friend of mine keeps asking me to go on a cruise with him because he loves them so much, but I am more of a “hide in a cabin in the woods with books, music, boardgames, a bed, and a fireplace, all conveniently located a mile down the road from a clean small town with great ma & pa restaurant” type of person. So since he badgers me with cruise stuff, I am looking to you to provide insight into why they are actually worthwhile.

ENJOY!!!! So delighted to see you safely retired. 🙂

Wow, I didn’t know the cruise would come this fast.

And most importantly, you didn’t need to ask permission to go!

  10. Brad says:

I will want to hear about Roatan.

When I flew into Honduras with USARSO on MILAIR, that is where the pilots would do their RON.

    Tells you something!
