Only five hours

devoted to errands yesterday. I had actually allowed for a lot more time. It could have bene even less if I had not been a bit absent minded. But leaving home at 0900 I managed to get to El Sobrante, then to Oakland, stop for lunch on the way back, return to El Sobrante (and pick up my phone which I had left on their dining room table), stop at Ms Pink’s house (she wasn’t home), mail a package at the post office on Appian Way, drive down San Pablo so that I could drop the forgotten lunches off with Dani, stopped in the garage long enough to fill up the Library Box, and parked in the driveway at 4 hours and 56 minutes.

I am tired just thinking about all of that and trying desperately not to remember the amount of cramping all the city street driving caused in my left calf. Somethings a standard transmission is not my friend.

So, once home – the ~1000 stitches left on “Never Laugh at Live Dragons” by ModernFolkEmbroidery seems much less daunting

So here he is – stitched on 16 ct Leaf Pile by ForbiddenFiberCo with Silks4U PR something (yes, this is all the sam hank just with each strand stitched pretty much as it came off the hank.)

and today? Hopefully a bit of cleaning. And laundry. and the next part on Sapphires in Sunshine (Tempting Tangles)

About Holly

fiber person - knitter, spinner, weaver who spent 33 years being a military officer to fund the above. And home. And family. Sewing and quilting projects are also in the stash. After living again in Heidelberg after retiring (finally) from the U.S. Army May 2011, we moved to the US ~ Dec 2015. Something about being over 65 and access to health care. It also might have had to do with finding a buyer for our house. Allegedly this will provide me a home base in the same country as our four adult children, all of whom I adore, so that I can drive them totally insane. Considerations of time to knit down the stash…(right, and if you believe that…) and spin and .... There is now actually enough time to do a bit of consulting, editing. Even more amazing - we have only one household again. As long as everyone understands that I still, 40 years into our marriage, don't do kitchens or bathrooms. For that matter, not being a golden retriever, I don't do slippers or newspapers either. I don’t miss either the military or full-time clinical practice. Limiting my public health/travel med/consulting and lecturing to “when I feel like it” has let me happily spend my pension cruising, stash enhancing (oops), arguing with the DH about where we are going to travel next and book buying. Life is good!

Oooh – now he is finished he is even better. He is a fire dragon of course? He has to be in those colours!

      Thank you!
I am pretty sure that the original 1600’s art wasn’t thinking about fire – but I couldn’t see him in any other colors.
