With the light ricocheting off the clouds and in through the door in the middle of the night it seems surprising at times to have clouds covering islands or mist coated scenery pass by our ship.
The long days at sea can be confusing, not just from the vast amounts of water through which we are traveling (punctuated for the first day by the occasional oil platform looming out of the sea and dominating the surrounding clusters of small boats) but by the fact that as we travel north the basic cardinal directions are not the same at all. The sun has essentially ceased rising and setting. Along with too much food – I think it is time to head back to the fitness center.
