Leaving the Xpedition
Unlike many other cruise ships – with less than 100 passengers luggage didn’t have to be outside the door till 0500 this morning (and actually 0630 worked just fine). For all of us staying in Quito, we didn’t have to worry about luggage till the hotel where it was delivered to the room (and I pulled the bags we had left in the hotel lock-up as well).
After a leisurely breakfast, we were politely but carefully hustled off the ship so that they could get ready for the next group of passengers. This meant a several hour wait in a fairly comfortable lounge, but the wifi quickly was overwhelmed and only the first 3-4 people who managed to connect had any kind of speed at all.
After dropping off the inbound passengers,
we loaded up and headed back to Quito. Dinner was at the hotel and I spent a bit of time trying to sort out my luggage to what I am keeping and George is taking back to Germany.
