Land not quite in sight
Somehow these past four/five days at sea have seemed a bit longer than the five days of the same directly after boarding in Mexico. It could possibly be that I was a bit more tired then and spent the first day sound asleep and otherwise kept myself entertained between knitting, chatting and raiding the library. There was also ship exploring and attempting to figure out the lay of the land/ship – so to speak.
These last couple of days really seem to have dragged. It is not that I don’t have books to read, although I will have to admit making a serious dent in the library collection. It is probably just as well that I can’t find a master list of books, but I am finishing the last of the scifi-fantasy that is on the shelves (I have even read a number of YA, most of which are an insult to the intelligence of the average teen).
After completing a number of projects, I started a shawl for me but don’t think I will have it completed prior to the end of the cruise.
What else? Laundry is back (I get 30 items washed and folded for free so it seemed silly not to use the coupon).
Tomorrow is Aukland (1000 if all goes as planned). There is a tower, a bridge, all sorts of walks to do, shops and museums to see. And oh, yes – an attempt at wifi which means you might even see a picture or more given enough band width to attempt uploading.
(here it is 2223 – so I am now 12 hours ahead of Germany….)
Hope you have enjoyed your stopover in Auckland, looks like you are going to have good weather in the Bay of Islands!!!!
