Its Hiding

Last Wednesday I took my laptop along when we made a run up to the Sacramento VA so I know I had it then. For that matter I dropped a note to this list on Thanksgiving; again meaning I had the laptop. Now full possession of my brain is another matter.

Friday I wrote I post in my head and the same for Sat. Yesterday I thought it was about time to put fingers to keyboard. Besides, there are all the fleece pullovers I have been cranking out to show you. Tally here is now @ 2 x 4 people (Noah, Dani, Alex & myself) + one for Maus and 2 for Shana. Then there are the additional three to go in the mail tomorrow along with a batch of sock yarn.

Meanwhile I am wrangling appointments, searching for the stupid laptop, making soup and contemplating finishing the last small bit remaining on the Fractal cross-stitch in progress since ? This year certainly.

About Holly

fiber person - knitter, spinner, weaver who spent 33 years being a military officer to fund the above. And home. And family. Sewing and quilting projects are also in the stash. After living again in Heidelberg after retiring (finally) from the U.S. Army May 2011, we moved to the US ~ Dec 2015. Something about being over 65 and access to health care. It also might have had to do with finding a buyer for our house. Allegedly this will provide me a home base in the same country as our four adult children, all of whom I adore, so that I can drive them totally insane. Considerations of time to knit down the stash…(right, and if you believe that…) and spin and .... There is now actually enough time to do a bit of consulting, editing. Even more amazing - we have only one household again. As long as everyone understands that I still, 40 years into our marriage, don't do kitchens or bathrooms. For that matter, not being a golden retriever, I don't do slippers or newspapers either. I don’t miss either the military or full-time clinical practice. Limiting my public health/travel med/consulting and lecturing to “when I feel like it” has let me happily spend my pension cruising, stash enhancing (oops), arguing with the DH about where we are going to travel next and book buying. Life is good!

You have CRS. Nothing you can do about it.

Ummm-you have had a few things on your mind lately. Has the silly thing turned up yet? I have to laugh about the cross stitch-I have a piece I have barely touched in over 4 years.

Found it yet? You were home on Thanksgiving. It has to be around. Blame the dogs. They took it to watch puppy videos on Facebook.

That’s a thought. And I can also reason that it was the Jack Wolfskin stickers on the cover which attracted them!

and at least these two will watch…

and yes – Yes. It was in my studio. Someone dropped a pile of patterns on top of it while clearing off work space…..

That makes more sense than dogs watching puppy videos.

I know that cats will. They think it’s a movie about edibles.
