Last night when I got home it was 10° in the kitchen, 7° in the front hall and a whopping 15°C in the bedroom as recorded on the thermometer hanging on the wall above the burning scented candle. Outside, the temp was -1°c and dropping.

Some of the snow melted over yesterday, but compared to Saturday – well it is snow.

Rather than put on a hat and gloves to wear to bed while keeping my cold nose under the covers, I turned the furnace back on. The dog was highly appreciative, moving from the tight ball curled up next to the bed to lay right in front of the register. Her older bones need the heat.
Sounds like a good excuse any way.

It turned out that someone was bored and accidentally got herself shut into Ms Coppers bedroom while I was out last night.
