All the way at the inner end of Aurslandfjord is Flåm – today’s destination.
As you would expect, large numbers of cruise ships and tourist come every year, mostly for the railroad and bicycling.
I joined a group who booked the rail way back when ( about Jan) to make sure we would be able to do do at a reasonable price.
Which meant valleys and waterfalls along the hour and 900 meter elevation climb. The end station for our train is Myrdåhl.
Where we hung out and relaxed for an hour before catching the return back down the 20.2 km to the harbour.
We stopped again at the Kjos-Fossen waterfall
Before arriving back at the Fjord.
The sheep were not impressed
Beautiful!
Oh, I love those torrents of water cascading down the hill …
So hard to impress sheep. What is it with that anyway?
Thanks for the photos!
