But of course I should mention that, between errands and a small amount of stitching, I finally made visible progress in the disaster room. So perhaps it was not a day lost to stitching – altho I do have my priorities.
I actually have a floor!I found it under piles of “stuff,” hiding its hardwood glory. I am certain that actually there will be more to find under the remaining neat stacks of boxes, containers, fabrics, and finishing supplies. Oh, yes, yarn. Can not forget the yarn.
I am certainly not done reorganizing, but thanks to Noah’s help, the desk is in a more useful position. The draws still need to be cleaned out and organized, but that mess at least doesn’t show. I found more books and audiobooks to go in my free book box. Also, unsurprisingly a lot of skeins of floss were tucked here and there in packages, bags, and on the sewing table.
Realistically, I am somewhere between 20-50% done. After all, this organizational disaster didn’t happen overnight, in a few hours, or even in a few weeks. I need to set realistic exceptions…..right? And figure out what I do have, what I want to work on or finish and find new homes for all of the rest..
