A completely new term to me this year and something that I forgot to mention yesterday. And, it should be no surprise – someone had created a Wikipedia entry here . If you don’t want to bother with the link, the definition is basically a narrow band of enhanced water vapor transport. Data also notes that these phenomena are responsible for severe precipitation events.

Duh – yesterday as I sat here in my upstairs area looking out at the pouring rain looking down toward the San Francisco Bay. Note that I say looking toward. I actually can’t see more than 30 meters to the tree line. Anything beyond that is completely obliterated by driving rain, wind and a dense layer of fog.

This morning, the river seemed to have moved on – at least for now. Moved on, of course means that everyone with errands wants to run them. George has meetings downtown followed by early evening on campus, Noah has to get to Richmond. I had talked about Costco, but decided against so that I could salvage at least something of the day. Never mind the sun came out and and everything is green. Green is not our usual color.

In case it wasn’t obvious, I am cranky and suffering from a first world problem. Monday morning I did a fast gather up of cross-stitch stuff prior to the once every couple of weeks cleaning person who does the heavy scrubbing. If I don’t pick up, then she spend times “neatening” which means I may never find anything again. Back to my own foolishness. I don’t have a dedicated project bag for the LongDog. That has to change. As a result, I put the spool of 4067 Sulky #12 somewhere….

Like I said, first world problem.
