Ok, so it is 1 Jan 2026 and NO, I do not have a first of the year finish. But rather than wait till June to start the page….. having a labeled place holder just might make it a bit easier to keep up.
January 2026
1: Fisherman’s Friend by LongDogSamplers. Started in 2025 on a cruise. Finished 6 January 2026. Stitched with Threadworx 1025 overdyed floss. Close to 17k stitches all told. This is the third of four in the fishy related series from Longdog. I am planning on starting the last (probably with the same thread) on another Panama Crossing this coming April.
2. Sailing Ship – extracted from My Chrysalis Heart (20205 – OnePointMind SAL). Started 1 Jan, finished 7 Jan. Stitched on a piece of green from Afterglow Workshop with various colors of Threadworx, both #12 perle cotton and overdyed floss
3. Tarot Coffee – pattern from Etsy. Started 8 Jan finished 11 Jan. Stitched with various Threadworx.
4 Coffin Bound Coffee – This was a collaboration (I think between WitchyStitcher & Caffeined Bat) Stitched on a neutral aida with Cottage Garden Threads. Started 25 Dec and finished 12 Jan (when I found the white for the ghosts)
5. Seasonal Skies. From Ship’s Manor – also fabric and much of the specialty Floss. I started this puppy – Mystery SAL back in 2021. I kept up through all 12 months. But the border was a bear and I kept putting it off. There are about 8 colors in each border section and they intertwine…. Finally finished 13 Jan 2026. Only modification was stitching the connecting medallions rather than slapping in six buttons in the middle…
February 2026
7. The Chaos. The one page version loaded into Pattern Keeper without a problem. Total stitches = 4149 (of which the last bit of pottery, dirt and cat = 922 stitched today). Started Jan (need to look up the date) 2026 and finished 1 Feb 2026. Designer is XCrossStitchPatternX on Etsy. Fabric is 16ct Navajo Treasure from Fortnight Fabrics (it was a FOM about 4 years ago). I tried to find a current website for them without success. I did a complete thread substitution including – #12-1063 Threadworx for the bright green & 12-1048 for the dark green. Chaos lettering 11215 and Threadworx 10341 for the dirt… Classic Colorworks – Titanic & Cupid for the cat & red. & Finally Pumpkin Pasty from Colour & Cotton for the Moon etc.
8. As you can see, I am a bit behind (or ahead if this series hadn’t been started last year). Similar to the other months – it is stitched with the called for threads. (Started last July 2025) and finished ….. This just leaves me Sept-Oct-Nov-Dec to go…
Mini-Village – August. From Country Cottage Needleworks. Started probably sometime in July and finished 6 Feb 2026. I stopped working on it last fall with it at about 65% and just picked it up earlier this week when I finished Chaos. It is stitched with all the called for Classic Colorworks. This completes 8/12….. I have a few other things on the list before I head to the last four in the series….
20 Feb 2026. Fiery Phoenix from Artmiska – stitched with Jacki from Stitching for SASS on 16 ct Through the Stones from BeStitchMe. Obviously it needs to be a hoop finish.

April 2026
5 April 2026 – Lady Justice from Mirabillia. Stitched on Printed Fabric Flair 32 ct linen/ with the called for DMC and beads EXCEPT I changed her skin and hair color to darker. total ~16,600 stitches +/- beads.
8 April 2026 – The Fairy House from Cottage Garden Samplings. This is the previous years House Series. Stitched on 16 (18?) ct Vintage Smoky White. with silk threads from BeStitchMe. I think this leaves me 4?5 houses to go (including the bonus Tudor one..). `8500 stitches
14 April 2026 – Quick Quaker SAL from Modern Folk Embroidery. The suggested plan on this one was to stitch just a portion each day and have it done by the end of the month. Started 2 April and finished obviously early. The fabric is 14 ct hand paint DMC in pink/lavender/blue. Stitched with Threadworx. The two greens are #12 perle cotton single strand (the lighter varigated) and the yellow/gold variegated floss).
25 April 2026.
Wishful Thinking. Longdogsamplers- Stitched with thread from Live & Dye in LA on 14 Count DMC handpaint Aida (the kind that was ~6-8$US when first released and now is 14$). Anyway – I split the border and placed ½ above and the other ½ below because otherwise it seemed to overwhelm the words. Started in the last couple of weeks (will update when I find my notebook) and completed today

May 2026
This is part 4/6 from Jeanette Douglas’s travel series that came out about a year ago. Rather than do the six parts on one piece of fabric, then shape into a cube, I am just making a 2x 3 layout. Hard copy pattern scanned into PK. 2942 total stitches. Started on the Celebrity Summit this past week and finished today (I didn’t have any 838 which was needed for the tree trunks and works…). so 306 finished it up when I got home. Might have been 29 April, but hey.
16 May – Seasonal Girls – Fall is “done” but here are the three so far –
leaving me just the Winter Girls from the current Barbara Ana SAL

Gorgeous by The Artsy Housewife. 18 ct Vintage country mocha with the called for thread. Stitched and finished in resin hoop. 15-20 May 2026 ~ 5k worth of stitches. (a lot of 310….)
26 May 2006. Coffee Quaker. Easy peasy pattern purchased off Etsy. About 2k worth of stitches. Stitched with Threadworx 1042 on Citrus Sorbet from Forbidden Fiber Co. (24-26 May. 2178 stitches)
27 May 2026 – Winter Girl is complete along with 2/3 sisters in the Seasonal SAL from Barbara Ana. I even completed the backstitching. there wasn’t much..
fabric choice wasn’t great anyway you looked at it. You can’t easily see the B5200 (white) even tho there is a lot of it in the last panel. All the other light choices faced the same issue with one of the four panels.

St Kitts Mermaid
St Kitts Mermaid by Nora Corbett. Started 29 July 2026. Finished 3 Aug with the called for DMC & Carron Waterlillies. Mailed 7 Aug to a friend in Florida to be passed to another friend who will do the backstitch, beads and frame it for her wall. I get the fun of stitching the easier part without all the rest!
